Bathymetrical range within the area: 0 - 80 m (64-68 m)

Substrate: Hard bottom, stones

Temperature: 5.4 - 6.3 °C

World distribution: Arctic-circumboreal: Barents Sea, White Sea, Kara Sea, near Spitsbergen and Franz Josef Land, Norwegian coast to western coast of France, the Faroes, Northern Canada south to Massachusetts Bay. In the Pacific Ocean: near the Kurile, Sea of Japan, Sea of Okhotsk, Bering Sea, the Commander, the Aleutian Islands.  

World bathymetrical range: 0 - 230 m
