Real-time pollen monitoring was commenced in Akureyri in late summer of 2022. The measurement and analytical capacity of the pollen monitoring station is still under development, so measured and actual values may differ.
With real-time pollen monitoring, pollen counts are available within a few hours of measurement, providing a good indication of the pollen that are airborne at any given time. The graph shows the real-time pollen counts for Akureyri and is updated every hour. Users can select a timespan and pollen types to suit their needs.
