Description: Test straight or slightly arcuate. Chamber arrangement rectilinear and non-embracing. Initial chambers nearly globular, progressively increasing in length as added; the latest about twice as high as broad, and slightly inflated. Aperture a series of radiate slits of an apical crown, located central on chamber and protruding; in all earlier septa, the tip of the apertural crown is resorbed, resulting in rounded passages. Sutures are horizontal and depressed. Wall is finely perforated and seemingly non-lamellar. Test surface is smooth, except for short costae or furrows, confined to the base of chambers. Proloculus with one or more short basal spines. The largest specimen at hand is close to 7 mm in length, most are less than 5 mm. Over 60 specimens were picked from 29 of the 1031 Bioice samples that were checked for forams.

Diagnosis: The elongated chambers and basal costae or furrows render this species distinct from other nodosariids in Icelandic waters.
